Lets face it, sometimes getting the right mindset to start your workout routine can be challenging. And it is SO EASY to talk yourself out of starting. Maybe it’s P90X, Body Beast or Insanity that has you dreading putting in the time. You may have heard this phrase, “It’s the start, that stops people.”
You already decided you want to get healthy and fit. So, let’s go beyond the reasons why you need to exercise and how you need to make it a lifestyle and part of your daily routine. You just do and you already know that and know why!
Let’s get back to the issue at hand. Getting in the gym and starting that workout routine!
It’s really pretty simple. Just change your state. That means getting into a peak mindset to take on that workout!
Mental Preparation for Your Workout Routine
So, try this. First, rate yourself on a scale from 1 to 10 with one being totally asleep and ten being a person who is shouting out loud, jumping up and down and pumping their fist in the air. Where are you on that scale?
Now clap your hands together four times. Shake out your arms and put a big smile on your face. Now where are you at?
Now pump your fist in the air and say “YES!” Three times! Say “Yes!”, Say “Yes!”, Say “Yes!”
Now, how do you feel? Crank up some energetic music and tell yourself, “I ROCK!!”
OK, you are probably reading this thinking I’m nuts. That’s because you only read it and didn’t do the actions. Thing is, it’s very easy to change your state. You can change it in an instant!
It’s a simple exercise that may seem a bit goofy, but it’s fun and gets instant results! You get a new energy level, new mindset, and everything changes! Your body language, your posture, and your attitude!
Where focus goes, energy flows! Go take massive action! Action is power! Go create the new you and get that workout done!
