Are you the number one obstacle to getting fit?
I heard this quote this past week and it hit me right between the eyes when it comes to getting fit!
“Looking back, my life seems like one long obstacle race, with me as the chief obstacle.” ~ Jack Parr
Over the years I think my biggest challenges have been the roadblocks I create in my head. Can you relate to any of these things I know I used to say to myself?
- “I don’t think I can eat that. I need something more filling like steak.”
- “We always go out to eat Friday nights. It’s a tradition!”
- “I can’t give up my after work beer/wine.”
- “I don’t eat vegetables. They’re gross”
- “I should workout, but it takes too much work and effort.”
- “I did some yard work and mowed. That counts as exercise!”
- “I’ll start next month.”
- “Getting Fit takes too long.”
Sound familiar?
All the mind chatter! You simply can’t move forward until you get rid of all the head trash, drop the excuses, and get serious about health and getting fit.
