Recent Discussions about Shakeology

I’ve had a lot of discussions recently with people about Shakeology. While most are pretty blown away at the results they are getting, there are some that have made some pretty interesting statements such as:

• It’s too expensive
• I don’t like drinking my meals
• I already go to Walmart or GNC for my protein shakes

While all seem to be valid reasons, I can’t help but step back and think about these statements as I have been using this product in March of 2008. So, let me take on each. Before I do, as I mentioned in a previous post, it would be silly of me not to share the information that doctors all around the country are talking about when it comes to this product. I mean, this product goes WAY BEYOND the typical “Slim Fast” mentality. Listen to this audio recording and you’ll understand why!

Too Expensive:

1. Let me just say, I’m not sure how they can keep this product down to just a mere $3 to $4 a serving. Really. I know going out and buying all of the ingredients won’t be less.
2. If the alternative is to do nothing when it comes to being healthy and taking care of ourselves, then the medical costs down the road will surely surpass three bucks.
3. Let’s take a look at what we spend our money on without even blinking an eye. $10 for a movie ticket (without getting refreshments). $4 for a Starbucks coffee, $2 for a pack of gum, $1.50 for a bottle of water, $9 for a glass of wine at a restaurant… you get the idea.

I Don’t Like Drinking My Meals

1. You can always add frozen fruit and ice, like I do, and eat it with a spoon!
2. Make half a serving and have it with a small meal as a beverage
3. Use it as a mid day snack! At least you’ll benefit from the 70 healthy ingredients!

I Already Go To Walmart or GNC For My Protein Shakes

1. Hey, I go to those stores too. I love GNC. BUT, I have yet to find a product that even comes close to Shakeology. It goes way beyond any protein shake, meal replacement  shake, or energy drink. You owe it to yourself to do the research and compare apples to apples so to speak.
2. Well, I have to remember to go to the store to pick up and item whenever I run out. Not a big deal, since I run out of items all the time! Still, having Shakeology on home direct makes sure I receive it exactly 30 days after the previous bag arrived!
3. There’s this guarantee. I’m not sure if these stores would give you your money back if you showed up with an empty container and said, “It wasn’t for me. I’d like my money back.” However, Beachbody is so confident (I am too) about this product that they give a “bottom of the bag guarantee.” and will refund your money. Now that goes a long way with me!

So, I’ll step down from the soap box now. Just wanted to share my thoughts. Like I said, when I talk about Shakeology with people, it’s usually about how we are benefiting from the product, how we feel and the results we are getting!

So, do the research and then give yourself a true gift this season. You already know how to save 25%, so what’s stopping you from feeling amazing? It’s time to shop.
