Knowing how to get better with age can be a challenge!
We all have a limited amount of time. Time is our most precious commodity.
As we get older, get busier, have more responsibilities, and increased expectations it makes it challenging to give our best given the limited amount of time we have.
I saw this quote by Elbert Hubbard the other day.
“Life is a checkerboard, and the player opposite you is time. If you hesitate before moving, or neglect to move promptly, your pieces will be wiped off the board by time. You are playing against a partner who will not tolerate indecision!”
So that got me to thinking about all of the excuses, alibis and reasons we give ourselves when it comes to our health, fitness and just about anything we want to achieve.
If only I had time…
If only I were younger…
If only I had the motivation…
If only I was in better health…
If only times were better…
If I could just get started…
If only I had support…
If only I wouldn’t have waited so long…
If I were sure of myself…
Well, it’s time to break through those excuses and put a plan together!
