Over the past 2 years I have been really digging into reading life-changing books and listening to audiobooks that are helping me personally grow and become a better human being.
One of most influential people I have had an honor to absorb the teachings from is a man named Jim Rohn. I downloaded an audiobook of one of his presentations and it made such an impact on me that I went and bought more. I bought books too. I was fortunate enough to be able to have an entire DVD set loaned to me this past summer of a weekend workshop of his. I savored every moment and actually have the DVDs sitting on my desk in front of me ready to view another round.
It is with great sadness that I learned this morning that Jim passed away after a battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Details are on his website.
I find it amazing how life unfolds bits of information, life-changing experiences and nuggets of inspiration at just the right time. If I had discovered Jim’s lessons even three years ago, I’m not sure they would have made the impact on me as much as they have the past two years. It seems to me that all good things have a specific timing to them. I feel fortunate enough to have tapped into all this man has shared with the world. I’m saddened to learn that it is the end of his life, but I know it is not the end of his impact. This man, no doubt, was able to be there in his final moments realizing he has left an INCREDIBLE LEGACY.
I can only hope that one day I will reflect and acknowledge that I made significant impact on people’s lives and left my own legacy, even though it may only be a fraction of what this man accomplished.
Jim,
You have made me want to be a better human being, and have shown me so many ways that have already made an impact. I thank you for that. I have so much more to learn from you and plan to dig into more of your incredible materials. I am grateful that your lessons are influencing all I can be with Team Beachbody and all I can be with life.
You will be sorely missed.
Best to your new adventures and to those who will continue your legacy.
