Is the pain and sweat worth the results?
A lot of people I coach pour their heart, soul, time and energy into their fitness plan. After a few weeks (or even a month) they don’t see a huge change in their appearance in the mirror, clothing isn’t dramatically looser, and the scale hasn’t budged all that much. So, is the pain and sweat worth the results? To that respond with a resounding, “YES!!
Results happen differently for each person. One person may see a 10 or 20 pound weight loss , while another may only see around five pounds or so. There are many factors at play here. One can be where you are starting at with your body type. you also need to consider the intensity of your workouts, consistency and tracking of your nutrition and supplements.
The key to many health and fitness programs, of course is consistency. You also need to trust to process as you go along. While genetics has a lot to do with how you build muscle, lose fat and gain fat, you also need to put in the work, pain and sweat consistently by following a plan.
This is why you see so many success stories out there. Some of them and accomplished in 60 or 90 days, but most folks realize this is a life journey. When you look at the success stories featured here on Put Yourself First, you’ll notice people are on a continuous journey. Is the pain and sweat worth the results? I am certain as you read each story, that you’ll agree, that it is indeed that the pain and sweat are worth it. They are the small price you pay to get healthier day by day.
So, if you knew that you would lose 50 pounds or get absolutely ripped or drop your cholesterol by 100 points in 90 days, 180 days, 360 days, is the pain and sweat worth the results?
You don’t have to start out with an extreme fitness program like P90X or Insanity. You can start with a 1 mile walk 3 times a week around the block while doing Shakeology for one meal. Then progress to 2 miles 3x a week. Eventually 2 miles 4x a week. Then 3 miles. You’ll start to see the weight melt off of you.
You would benefit kick starting your health plan with the 21-Day detox and cleanse program, Ultimate Reset. Then you may be ready to step up to a boot camp workout like Power 90 or Turbo Jam. Then progress to the Power 90 Masters Series and eventually P90X, Insanity, Chalean Extreme or Asylum.
No matter where you start, you have to start. There will be pain in the form of pushing yourself and in some soreness. There will be sweat every step of the way and maybe some tear. Still, in the end you will get results! There will be confidence and VICTORY!
