No More Excuses Not To Exercise – Here’s A Solution
No More excuses. It’s that time of year where people have very for holiday shopping, office parties, vacations, and all of the stress let alone take the time to take care of themselves. Is that good enough excuse not to take care of yourself and not exercise? No more excuses! Get rid of them!
Traditionally, this tends to be a season of weight gain because of indulgence and stress because people don’t take the time to take care of themselves. They often do self talk that they will get fit and exercise after the holidays. I wonder, why do people wait? No more excuses! They can take the time now. Don’t they know that there are simple things you can do to actually make the seasons healthy and fit and still have time for shopping and celebration?
This “no more excuses” solution has helped people lose up to 20 pounds in a month. It’s a time when people have a “no more excuses” mindset” What would 20 pounds off of your body do for you? Especially during the holidays? A dear friend of mine has now gone from a size 24 to size 12 in under 3 months with this solution. Another friend of mine lost 40 pounds with the solution I am about tot reveal.
I’m not talking about a magic pill. I am talking about a simple “no more excuses” solution that works. It will only take about 10-20 minutes of your time each day. If you don’t have the time, then you need to set the alarm just a mere 20 minutes earlier and get it done. You need it!

No More Excuses – The Solution

The Box on the Table
My Beachbody Journey;
I have known my coach for 12 years. I knew him before his Beachbody days and watched him transform himself. However, I was very skeptical when I started my 10 minute trainer program. I really did not think I’d see results working out at home, but this time things were different. I had a friend whom was willing to be my coach and help me with the weight loss and overall feeling good about myself again.
None of my other programs I tried were successful. So working out at home, I didn’t expect much. I just knew I had to do something. I was at a very low point in my life, and had pretty much given up. I hated going out to the gym and working out in front of other people. I felt everyone was staring at that fat girl. I had become very uncomfortable with myself and had went into isolation. At this point suicide was an option. I thought a lot about dying and even had a plan. I don’t think anyone really knows how low I was, and it was a scary place to be. I was tired of taking pills for high blood pressure. Tired of pills for this and that. Tired of being tired and not doing anything. I had no energy and just did not care.
Getting me going was even a challenge. I was having troubles placing the order for the 10 min trainer. There again, I was just going to call it quits when my good friend and coach, Perry, decided to take that extra step. We were going to get this order placed on the phone together. Frustration had already set in but he said “No we can do this” Tears on the other end I graciously accepted the help.
I’m so glad he took the time to push me forward. It was not easy. Even when that box arrived with my 10 min trainer program in it I just knew it was another one of those scams. Funny how I thought that because as I said earlier I’ve know Perry for 12 years and watch him transform with his Beachbody program. I looked thru the box, opened the packages and then put it all back in the box and left it on my coffee table. I didn’t start the program until August 27th, so I had several days to talk myself out of this.
Here it is, August 27th. I start today. I dreaded starting. I hate that box on my table. The voice in my right ear kept telling me it was a waste of time. The distant voice in my left ear faintly whispered “you can do this”. Eventually I popped in the DVD and decided to see what this was all about. As I’m doing the first of my TMT I kept saying to myself, “this is stupid. No way this is going to work.” I was hoping for that phone to ring or a bolt of lightning to hit my house so I had an excuse to stop. I didn’t happen. Finally my 10 minutes were done. Those 10 minutes felt like hours. “Oh how I hate you. This is a joke.” I packed up the DVD and put it back in the box that was sitting on my coffee table. Reported to my coach that I was done for the day, and I had did my 10 minutes.
Keeping that box on my coffee table was smart on my part. It became the first thing I saw every morning as I came down stairs. I’d carry on arguments with it during the day as I’d pass by it. I resented that box for probably the first several days, if not that whole first week. I complained every morning and told off Tony and the box. Those voices were still in each ear, but the left side was getting louder and clearer. Before I knew it I was dropping the weight. As I started to lose it, I started to feel better. As I started to feel better, I was not angry with the box on the table. I even became more comfortable reporting to an on line group that ~ hey, I worked out. I showed up and did my 10 minutes! They were strangers who could not see me, didn’t know me and they only knew what I allowed them to know. Strangers were showing interest in what I was doing. I found that odd, but the encouragement was nice.
Shakeology was new to me as well. Again, stubborn, I just knew this product would not work because I’ve tried them all. What I learned was Shakeology was amazing. It instantly stopped my sweet cravings and snacking.
I started out on August 27th in a tight size 22W, 242#. I probably should have been in a 24W but had not gone to the store for a size up shopping spree.
I had a doctors apt coming up to check on my blood pressure. I was feeling even better and my blood pressure was in a normal range. By September 27th (my one month) I had lost 16# and went from a tight 22W to a size 16. A month into Beachbody and I was real happy with myself. I began to want to work out and would think about working out when I was not. I learned to make that time for me. That box still sitting on the coffee table, now we had good conversations. Working out became fun!
October 3rd my morning started as usual. I came downstairs to the box on the table and did my work out. Then I decided that “today is the day”. Operation St. Vincent De Paul. I packed up all my XXXL shirts, my size 22W pants, 20’s, 18’s and took them all to St. Vincent De Paul and donated them. I refuse to get that large ever again. If I didn’t have the clothing clutch in the house to slip back into then I felt it was more power to me. What a great release it was to get rid of all of it…. all 7 bags full.
My amazing journey continued forward when I joined my coach in the Ultimate Reset. October 10th. I weighed in at 222# and the reset began. It was a great journey. I learned about new foods and how to cook them. I released stress, negative energy, and unneeded baggage. Thinking became clearer. I did yoga during this time and was starting to view the world in a new light. Just a week into the reset and I had already lost a few more pounds and was now sporting a size 14 pants! I lost a total of 13# doing the Ultimate Rest and was now 209#. The energy I was feeling was incredible. The release of the negative things in my life was an amazing feeling. I became a new person.
I became comfortable enough with myself to post on my Facebook wall my success pictures and talk about the weight loss program I had been doing. People were interested, listening and asking questions. I had friends who had not seen me in some time not recognize me with my new transformation.
Coming off the Reset I did approx 2 weeks of Turbo Jam and absolutely love the program. Many days I did turbo jam and 10 min trainer. Towards the end of my 2 weeks with turbo jam I was on vacation staying at a lodge with pool and exercise room. I was told no one ever used the exercise room, and they were not kidding. I startled the maintenance man when he came in to clean mirrors and the desk help came to see why music was coming from the room. Why am I telling you this? Because during one of my turbo jams I realized a older lady was in the door way watching me and sort of shimming and trying to do the turbo. We had agreed to meet back at 4 pm because she wanted to try it. She did water aerobics and thought this would be fun. That would make my 3rd turbo jam of the day, or 28 turbo’s!! She did great for being 72 years old and I was exhausted.
My new program is Power 90 / boot camp!! I started this on Nov 12th weighing in at 206#. The box still sits on the coffee table. Day one and two were brutal. Had I started out new with this as my first program, I don’t know that I’d have been successful. I was feeling the burn, but loved the challenge.
It has now been 2 1/2 months since I’ve had cake, cookies, bakery in general, even gum. No fast food, No Jimmy Johns. Shakeology stopped those cravings. It’s also been 17 months since I was a 12pk to a case of soda a day.
Yesterday, Nov 15th I went out with some friends that I had not seen in months. I gave into their pressures of having a chocolate eclair. We each had to have one to celebrate Lynn’s birthday. No sharing allowed. I lived to regret it. My body no longer enjoys food like that and my insides were now at war with me. Besides many bathroom trips, I got real achy, a massive headache came out of nowhere and the laziness was trying hard to kick in. I started drinking lots of water to flush my system and decided a round with 10 min trainer would not hurt. I eventually did another P90 as well. I am sad this morning thinking about this because my friends have no interest in getting themselves healthy. They told me I needed to put some meat on my bones. They didn’t want to hear about the Beachbody programs or working out. For them it was a day of eating anything and everything. I refuse to become that person again.
Today I am on day 5 of my Power 90. I’m so thankful I have a wonderful coach willing to do that hand holding and go that extra mile to help. Without his guidance I would not have come this far. I am already thinking ahead to the next program we will do, and we are only day 5 into P90 🙂
