Trying to lose weight is always challenging to some degree. One of the biggest obstacles is trying to determine which diet plan is going to be the most effective, which of course would be unique to the individual, the amount of weight needing to be dropped, and certain health conditions. However, in response to the question often heard,“What is the best diet to lose weight”, I want to take the opportunity to provide some options.
Now, I am not a fan of the word “diet” when it comes to people wanting to lose weight fast, but I do know that people like to start somewhere. Somehow we end up letting ourselves off the hook when we just say we are going to “eat better” or “eat more healthy.” But in reality, that is the lifestyle you need to be striving for. Something to get you initial results and then a way to sustain it with your lifestyle. Not just a good diet.
Keep in mind that no matter the good diet plan a person chooses success, exercise needs to be added in. I can hear the moans already. Multiple studies have been conducted to determine the impact on weight loss by adopting both a good diet and exercise plan. All the studies ended up with the same resolve that this is the winning combination. Don’t ask me to post which studies. That’s for you and Google to research!
I want to point out that before starting the best diet to lose weight or any exercise program, anyone with health issues or concerns should start by talking to a doctor. For instance, someone with Diabetes or high blood pressure would need to eat certain foods while avoiding others. In addition, someone with arthritis might find some exercises beneficial while others intensify aches and pains.
One final note is that as part of the weight loss process, focus should always be on good nutrition, not cutting out foods that the body needs to function. Unfortunately, many people make the mistake of going on an extreme “lose weight fast” program only to experience serious risks. Because there are so many excellent programs designed with nutrition in mind, an individual should have no trouble in selection the best one according to personal need.

Weight Watchers
One of the most popular diet plans is Weight Watchers because it is easy to follow and it works. Not only does this particular plan make it possible to drop unwanted pounds, it is an outstanding maintenance program for keeping weight off. Although food choices are far more liberal than when the plan was first devised and meals easier to fix, there is one downside is that for long-term goals, some people have a difficult time sticking to the diet because it can become monotonous. I have many friends who have found this to be the best diet to lose weight, but it’s not for everyone.
Jenny Craig
Another one of the popular programs on the market is Jenny Craig. In this case, meals are already prepared and delivered directly to a person’s front door step. Because of this, Jenny Craig is more expensive than some of the other diet programs on the market but many people have achieved great success. The one thing an individual should consider however is that after losing the desired amount of weight, transitioning back to conventional food can be a little tricky and due to cost, staying on Jenny Craig long-term is not an option for most people.
The Biggest Loser
Designed by professional fitness trainers and nutritionists in coordination with the hit television series, The Biggest Loser, this is yet another option for getting rid of excess weight. The biggest advantage with this program is that it includes nutritionally sound food and a well-planned exercise program. According to experts, this is an exceptional program for someone looking to achieve short-term and moderate term weight loss. Since the plan is relatively strict, staying on it long-term is not usually recommended.
Raw Food Diet
The greatest benefit to the Raw Food Diet is that it offers weight loss both short and long-term. This particular diet involves eating raw foods, which in turn means consuming fewer than normal calories. Although healthy and nutritional, this diet does require significant prep work, making it difficult for people with busy schedules.
Ultimate Reset
The last of the best program to lose weight and truly reset the body back to its factory defaults is a program called the Ultimate Reset by Beachbody. According to the makers of this program, a person can lose weight and achieve better health in just three steps that consist of reclamation, release, and restoration. With the Ultimate Reset program, harmful toxins that build up over years of poor diet and lack of exercise are flushed out. As a result, a person loses weight but also becomes healthier. The best diet to lose weight? Perhaps. It certainly works well. Most people I know who have done this find it to be absolutely amazing because it is gentle, effective and give people the opportunity to have a fresh start with their body!

As mentioned, whether choosing The Biggest Loser, Jenny Craig, the Ultimate Reset, or some other diet plan, it is imperative to incorporate exercise in the daily regimen. Even a mere 10 to 30 minutes a day of exercise such as walking, biking, dancing, 10 Minute Trainer, Focus T25 or swimming will help transform your body.
