After a long hard workout, such as P90X, Insanity or Body Beast, your body is probably looking for some post workout fuel and muscle building protein. So, about 30 min after you have had your P90X Results and Recovery Formula, try this inventive tuna salad wrap recipe that I found in Men’s Health Magazine. It’s a different spin from the basic tuna and mayo sandwich! I’m confident you’ll enjoy this P90X meal.
P90X Meal – Tuna Salad Wrap Recipe
- 1 apple, peeled and cut into wedges
- 1 can (4 ounces) low-sodium chunk white tuna packed in water, drained and rinsed
- 1 tablespoon honey mustard (use the lowest sodium one you can find)
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons raisins or dried cranberries
- pinch of ground black pepper
- 2 LaTortilla Factory low calorie whole wheat wraps (I use the 50 calorie ones)
P90X Meal – Directions:
- Chop one of the apple wedges. Set the remaining wedges aside.
- Put the tuna in a small bowl and break it apart with a fork. Add the honey mustard, vinegar, raisins, pepper, and chopped apple. Stir well to mix.
- Wrap the tuna salad with the whole wheat wraps. Serve with the remaining apple wedges.
- Store the remaining tuna salad in the fridge for another post workout meal.
